Nurse Practitioner · Virtual appointments on Tuesdays

Phil Beauchamp is a Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in front-line and specialty medicine. He combines conventional medical care, including assessment, lab investigations and prescribing, with an integrative, whole-person approach to cardiovascular health, hormone health and chronic disease.
Phil began in surgical and primary care nursing before completing his Master’s degree and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. He practised family medicine at the Sudbury District Nurse Practitioner Clinic and worked as a locum NP in remote northern First Nations communities. He later joined the Heart Failure Disease Management Program at Health Sciences North, caring for patients with complex cardiovascular and multi-organ conditions. For the past several years he has worked in Indigenous health, which shaped how he practises: listening closely, building trust, and considering the whole person along with any diagnosis.
At FMU, Phil works alongside our naturopathic doctors and the wider team, so patients can access conventional and integrative care in one place. His intakes leave time for your full health story, and his plans may include medication, lab testing, hormone therapy, nutrition and lifestyle strategies, depending on what fits your needs.
Areas of clinical interest:
Cardiovascular health, prevention and risk reduction
Hormone health, including bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) when clinically appropriate
Metabolic health
Chronic and complex health concerns, including diabetes and high blood pressure
Integrative primary care
Preventive health and long-term wellness
Outside the clinic, Phil is a father of three and runs Beautiful Field Farm, a heritage orchard and nursery in Northern Ontario. Tending more than 1,000 apple trees has shaped how he sees health: strong foundations matter, and meaningful change takes time.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2006) and a Master of Science in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner Certificate (2010), both from Laurentian University. He is registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner.
